So what started out as a normal night turned into Amaya's tooth nightmare. So she's had a loose tooth for a couple of weeks now and we knew it was a matter of time before it would fall out and we knew she'd be so excited!
So tonight we started watching Cinderella, and after Amaya and I found out Eric ate all but one donut hole we immediately jumped up and grabbed the last donut hole. Amaya was such a sweetie she split it exactly in half with me. Before I go on I want it to be noted that I had literally just examined Amaya's mouth not even 15 minutes before this and looked at her loose tooth. I said, "yep, it'll be out soon." Fast foward to Amaya and I enjoying our half donut hole. We continued to watch Cinderella for another two minutes or so before I look at her again and notice her loose tooth is no longer in her mouth!!! I immediately tell Amaya don't move and call Eric to come in, because I can tell Amaya has no idea her tooth was even gone.
So after searching for her first missing tooth for twenty minutes, we gave up the search. Needless to say Amaya is very very sad, as am I, but I'm not trying to show it. But we tried to reassure Amaya the tooth fairy will still come but that we have to trick the tooth fairy by drawing a picture of a tooth and putting it under her pillow and hoping that works. She agreed and began to be the little artist that she is and drew a tooth. I think it's a bit big lol, but hey we'll see what happens tomorrow morning.
But Eric and I can't figure out what the heck happened to her first tooth? Did she eat it or is it somewhere in our bed/carpet? What do you guys think?
Check out the pictures! Have fun!

Mimi's 5th Birthday Party
So today we celebrated my daughter's 5th Birthday at Color Me Mine in Las Vegas, NV. The theme was "Art Party" as my daughter loves to be artistic. We invited only a small number of kids from her school Seton Academy. We made chocolate mud pies, marshmallow paint chips, and had popcorn for snacks. My cousin Devonna flew in to celebrate Amaya's Birthday and my Birthday, as our birthdays are 3 days apart. I will update the post to show what the artistic creations looked like after they have been fired and glazed. All the kids had a blast, and had lots of personality. Check out the pictures.

A Visit from an old Friend :)
This past weekend my friend Ashley, whom I met while in the Navy, and her daughter Paytin drove from San Diego to visit me and my family in Las Vegas. We were so excited for their visit, and we all had such a good time.
We stayed up talking and playing until at least 1 a.m. the first night they got in, then we woke up ate breakfast and got our day started. We enjoyed the festivities at the Summerlin Pumpkin Festival, which my friend Sarah and her son Gianni joined us at. The kids ran around, played halloween games, danced, got their faces painted and pet farm animals. The weather was beautiful and the festival turned out great.
Then we made our way to Downtown Summerlin which just opened on Oct 9th, and we shopped the night away!
So here are just a few photos from short, but fun weekend.

First day of Preschool
Today is Amaya's 1st day of preschool. Just a few short months ago we made the move from North Dakota to Las vegas, Nevada. We had Amaya's 4th birthday party at my parents new house in Patterson, CA! Lastly, and most importantly we found an awesome preschool that is Seton Academy West.
We dropped Amaya off, but definitely hung around and watched her play outside, and chatted with staff.
This morning went pretty good, like any normal morning except that we had an agenda, and that was to make sure Amaya was happy and comfortable!
She had a slight meltdown with her clothes, but we pulled it together, and she ended up being very comfortable.
And we straightened her hair, which she loves and will finally wear her hair down for longer than 5 minutes!

I definitely don't know what I was so nervous about. She was still shy and not very talkative but that's to be expected. And she didn't cry! Not that we were expecting that. But you never know. But yeah we knew she'd been excited about going, she likes learning and she likes other kids, so preschool is a perfect match.
Alright, now to the pictures. Her and eric's selfies seriously make my heart melt. I love them more than words could ever say.
Those are the cutest pictures I have ever seen! Love them!
First stop...Sand Land!
Amaya: "Mommy, I got sand in my shoes."
Daddy helping her clean her shoes and socks to get rid of that sand
next stop: Slide Time!
