A Trollstice Celebration

So I came up with the idea to incorporate halloween with her favorite movie, Trolls!  I had so many ideas and wanted to DIY as many as possible.  As with any party I did not have everything go perfect, not even close, but I was so supported by friends and family and it turned out well.  Aaliya was able to interact and actually enjoy her party and that is most important.  So my cousin and I were Satin and Chenille (the twins), Eric was Branch (sad/mean branch), Aaliya was Poppy, and Amaya was Lady Glitter Sparkles aka Idget lol.

A big thank you to my daughters' godmother, Devonna, who crocheted her outfit, Eric's Branch Best, and my skirt!  She nailed it.  She also perfected the centerpieces (poppy head, branch head, satin and chenille head, and DJ Suki head).  She helped me with every piece of this party and again worked with what my vision was to ensure I had what I needed!  She is the true artist!  https://www.willisandcro.com/ - check her out on Etsy too! 

Another big shout out to Christina and Lisha who painted me like Satin, Amaya like Lady Glitter Sparkles, and completed Eric, and Devonna's faces!  The lashes she chose, the colors, the glitter sparkles on my cheeks were exact and perfect!  She is a MUA but she just killed with facepaint and makeup!  https://www.chrisxbeauty.com/

The Alice and Shanice Chronicles - another one in the books!  When something works, keep it going.  Shanice is an absolute godsend.  She helped so much the day of and was clearly behind the scenes taking great pictures and I am so grateful.

Summer Fun (July + Aug)

Summer Summer Summer in California has been all fun, all the time. I took a week off in July for a staycation and it sure was filled with laughs, happiness, and r&r.  Enjoy the pictures below (plus Amaya started second grade a few days ago and so far so good).

 Watch the Progression of Amaya's Jumpman Jump!  I'm so proud of her that she completed this.  Life is all about taking risks and getting out of your comfort zone.  That's what makes it great.

Amaya had her hair cut, after asking for years.

Amaya never ceases to amaze me with her creative ideas.  She always overflowing with creative ideas.

Amaya and I also attended a lil kids cooking class at Maggiano's little italy restaurant in Santana Row.  It was a blast and the homemade marinara was delicious.

SoOakland Day Party

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL (be prepared to see thee worst photos lol; Amaya was nervous and not about the self portrait photos today.  She was focused on getting to school and that was it!)  

Family is everything!  My heart is always full when I get to wake up, talk to, and come home to them.
